2020 CN Senior Spotlight - Week 1
The Camp Nazareth Family would like to recognize the Senior Class of 2020 from Week 1 of our CN Summer Camp Experience. We wish you God's Blessings, success, and happiness in your future endeavors!
Natasha is from Saint Clair, Pennsylvania and this is her 6th year attending the CN program. This summer she has been studying and working extra hard to prepare for college. Now that she is graduated she plans to attend Penn State Schuylkill to study psychology. Camp has always been a place that felt like home for her and she will never forget all the good friends and memories she’s made there.
Rachael is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This will be her 7th summer as a camper. During quarantine she has been learning different types of embroidery techniques to up cycle clothing. In the Fall she plans to attend West Virginia University to major in biochemistry as a pre-med. Her favorite Camp Nazareth memory was the camp fires and getting to sing “Born in Bethlehem” very aggressively
Rachel is from Monongahela, Pennsylvania and this is her 11th year attending the CN program. This summer she has been working at Giant Eagle trying to save money for college. She plans to attend West Virginia University to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. Camp has always been the highlight of her summer allowing her to make new friends and recharge her faith.
Rachel is from the Indiana, PA area. This is her 8th summer camping at Camp Nazareth! Rachel volunteered as a classroom assistant for the elementary Summer Learning Academy. She currently works at Fox’s Pizza Den in Blairsville, PA. This summer, she is also enjoying spending time with her close friends- playing tennis, swimming and just hanging out. Rachel is attending IUP as a student in the College of Health and Human Services. She is a Promising Scholars scholarship recipient and intends to join the Orthodox Christian Fellowship on campus. Her favorite part of camp is listening to Metropolitan Gregory’s sermons and cabin talks. She will fondly remember the eight years she was a camper, and would love to become a camp counselor in the summer of 2021! Rachel believes that the connections she has formed with fellow campers are the strongest in her life!
Rya is from Fieldale, Virginia. She has been attending camp for seven years. This summer she has been working at a sno cone shack in her town. In the fall she will be attending James Madison University to study elementary education. Her favorite part of camp is constantly being surrounded by Orthodoxy and other Orthodox Christians.
Susie is from Chicago, Illinois and this is her 8th year as a camper. During the summer, she has been teaching herself guitar, vlogging, swimming and paddleboarding on the lake. Next year, she will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where she will major in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her favorite part about camp is being able to sing together with her fellow campers during prayer services.
